Grant Your Browser Camera Access: Steps to Enable Your Webcam Viewer

Google Chrome

  • Visit the page needing camera access permission
  • A pop-up will show up close to the navigation bar
  • Press "Allow"
  • Refresh the page to activate the camera on the website.

To manually grant permission:

  • Click on the icon preceding the URL in the navigation bar
  • Choose "Website Settings"
  •  You'll be directed to Google's support page, select "Camera," then opt for "Allow"

Safari

  • Next to the website name, locate the Camera dropdown menu. Opt for one of these options:
    • Ask: Safari requests permission when a website wants to use the camera.
    • Deny: The website is unable to use the camera.
    • Allow: The website has camera access.
  • Close the Preferences window to apply the modifications.In Safari on your Mac, go to Safari > Preferences, and click on Websites.
  • Choose Camera from the left menu.
